Importing Your Texture Into the Armadillo

Back to Tutorials

In this tutorial i will be using the Motocross Madness 2 Track Editor (Armadillo)

Step 1
Importing Textures

Step 1 Part 1

Open your Armadillo

Now Open your Project file if you have saved one

if not you must Create a New Track and Import The Displacement Map That goes with this Texture

ok now that you have all that go to the Textures Tab
it is the one in the middle

It looks like this

Now look under those buttons and you can see 2 things, one says

Auto Generate - That is turned on right now
what that will do is create the textures for you but you have to have a spline on your track already
that is the 2nd button from the left

The other button you see is what we need for this tutorial, it says
Custom click that and now the controls for Auto Generate turn off And
way at the bottom you see 2 things Track and Perimeter

Track with a box under it and a R to the left of it and 3 dots to the Right

Click the 3 dots on the Right
a thing will pop up like when you had to find your Displacement Map
do the same thing you did to find the Displacement Map just find your
960 x 960 24bit .tga Track Texture

now click Open and your Textures will be applyed to your Terrain

Do the same thing for your Texture for the Outside of your track
just push the 3 dots next to the box with Perimeter
